Welcome to my Studio News Page - I'm so glad you're here. This is where I share what's happening in my studio: new paintings as they come off the easel, upcoming exhibitions and shows, and new class offerings.
Painting has always been my joy and my passion, and I love being able to share that journey with you.
Thank you for following along — I hope you'll find a little inspiration here too.

A little about my studio
I create and teach out of a studio in Little Italy, where I offer advanced private sessions for those looking to deepen their practice.

Presence & Place at Unscripted Spaces
I’m so pleased to share that I’ll be part of Presence & Place, an upcoming exhibition presented by San Diego Art Directory at Unscripted Spaces in La Jolla Village.
Curated by Erin Page, art consultant and founder of Page Art Projects, the exhibition brings contemporary art into a series of fully designed interior spaces.
I’m especially excited to see my work presented in this setting and alongside the work of the other participating artists.
I’d love for you to join me for the Opening Reception on October 8 from 4:30–7:00 PM at Unscripted Spaces in La Jolla Village. Come enjoy an evening of art, conversation, and light refreshments.
RSVP is required for entry. Please reserve your spot here:
Nancy Teague Plank brings floral paintings to Coronado
A lineage of artists
Plank credits her start as an artist to her maternal grandfather who she called “Papa.”
“He could draw anything we asked and he could draw it beautifully,” said Plank.
Plank’s artistry is shaped by some of her favorite artists such as John Singer Sargent, an American artist, whose “Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose” blew her away in London.
Across her paintings, Plank aims to resonate with viewers as is usually the case with her portraits.
Plank said the ideal reaction of someone looking at one of her paintings is that they feel better, lighter and more peaceful as a consequence of spending time with it.
